Hi Index Lenses are spectacle lenses that are made of plastic materials designed and
manufactured to reduce the thickness of the lens and to provide a better fitting lens.

Hi index lenses look much nicer in your glasses than a standard plastic lens, fit better
and are lighter and more comfortable to wear.

Not all prescriptions require hi index lenses and there are different types of hi index
materials but the most common ones are 1.6, 1.67 and 1.74.

Multifocals or progressives are spectacle lenses that correct the 3 main areas
of vision, namely distance, intermediate and near/reading.
