There are many different types of contact lenses available.

Your options depend on how often you want to wear your contact lenses and the oxygen
transmission of the lens.

Silicone hydrogel lenses allow up to 5 times more oxygen to the eye, and are
more comfortable to wear for longer periods of time.

The chart below illustrates the difference in oxygen transmission in different lens designs.

Hydrogel lenses are prescribed for casual wear and the lenses are sold as a single use lens,
that is worn once then discarded. These lenses typically come in packs of 30 pairs or 90 pairs.

Siicone hydrogel daily wear lenses are for regular contact lens wear and are available as 14 wear
or 30 wear lenses.

Silicone hydrogel extended wear lenses are for wearing overnight and allow the most oxygen
transmission of the 3 types.
